And the latter is more important. I’m in 11th grade which is the “big” year for high school. Freshman year, the seriousness of school hadn’t yet dawned on me. I didn’t study and didn’t do my homework, and in general, didn’t care. I made mostly B’s and a C. That C haunts me today. Sophomore year, I put a tiny bit of effort and made equal A’s and B’s. The major wake up call was in AP World History. My teacher started doing reading quizzes and guess who had never read a textbook before. My grade was a 45 after the first 2. It freaked me out really badly and then I started studying. First in APWH, then expanding to to cover all of my classes. I made a 90 in that class.

Now I’m a junior. I am taking 4 AP classes. (AP Language and Composition, AP Physics B, AP Psychology, and AP US History.) Along that, I’m taking gifted/accelerated Precalculus and French 4.

French 4: This is my second year with this teacher and honestly, this class is all over the place. It’s mostly history with bits of grammar thrown in. My teacher is quite odd and she’s not a super great teacher. But overall, since we get test corrections :O, I’m pulling an A pretty easily.

AP Language And Composition: Easy class in general. It’s mostly just effort needed, not as much “brains”. The tests are pretty hard though, which is why my grade went from a 97 to a 94 with one test.

PreCalculus: For some reason, I’m not doing so great. I saw this class as a slack class and soon realized it wasn’t something that I could just breeze by. I have a high B, which I hope to pull to an A. As usual, I made some not-so-good grade at the beginning, which are really hurting me now.

AP Psychology: I love this class. Enough said. It’s very interesting to me how the brain and how we as humans think and make decisions. The only downfall is the tests are difficult and she grades essays very hard, but it’s a fun and social class.

AP Physics B: This is a non-calculus based class. Everyone last year said that it’s the hardest AP and you will come out after tests crying. For some reason, I’m pulling an A. Most people failed the first few tests, but I got A’s on them (except for 1 I got a 89 on). I’m surprised that I’m doing decent in this class. Hopefully this remains true after finals.

AP US History: The subject is not bad, the teacher is crazy. That’s really it. And I almost have a C. :O But I don’t and I’m bringing it up because I’ve discovered how to succeed in his class.

Okay. Bye.

“Lights” - Ellie Goulding (Cover by Katie Hull)

“Lights” - Ellie Goulding (Cover by Katie Hull)

“Lego House” - Ed Sheeran (Cover by Katie Hull)

“Lego House” - Ed Sheeran (Cover by Katie Hull)

“We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together” - Taylor...

“We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together” - Taylor Swift (Cover by Katie Hull)

“Titanium” - David Guetta ft. I’m just waiting for the potential Atlanta competition to be announced, so I’ll have motivation to practice.

“Drive By” - Wow.

I got it today and it sucked out of the box. I lubed it down to the screws and springs with Traxxas and it is amazing. I could get sub 9 with my QJ pyraminx, but I never improved and it popped a lot and locked on U turns. This pyraminx is amazing. I broke all of my PB’s today with it. Sub 5 single, ~6.5 average of 5, and 7.00 exactly Ao12. I feel like my times will be even faster when I replace the stickers. They are great shades and good for recognition, but they are really slippery. It’s quite hard to finger trick certain algorithms and my hands slip and cause regroups which lead to times going up. On a bigger puzzle, a second might not make a difference, but a 6 and 7 solve on pyraminx are big differences.

Got My Order!

So, I received my order of QJ megaminx VII and Meffets Speed Pyraminx… sorta. I got the QJ megaminx, but I was sent an MF8 VII megaminx instead of the Mefferts Pyraminx. I contacted the store and they are sending out my pyraminx today, I was able to keep the mistaken megaminx. I just lubed it down to the screws and springs, and it’s really good right now, just locks a bit. The QJ megaminx is great as well, but I have a hard time holding it because it’s pretty small. (Smaller than Mf8).

I ordered my Shengshou 5x5 from Amazon, which is going through Magic Cube Store. (US based store). I got it yesterday. It turns very well and is a great size for my hands to hold and handle. For some strange reason though, I cannot get well on it. I’m sub 2 on my Ghosthand 5x5, but I’m almost 2:30 on this cube. I have no idea at all, I feel like I’m going well and it’s a good time, but its always a bad time for me. Weird. xD

If you guys want to know my youtube, it’s

My problem is with cubing stores. I do not like Google checkout, as neither of my parents have a google account. I do, but I do not want to be purchasing things with my account, used strictly for my social things. Also, to add on top, no major store has all three products.

Cubedepot: Uses Google checkout, but they are out of Shengshou 5x5’s

Speedcubeshop: They use Paypal (yay!), but they do not sell the Mefferts Pyraminx and they cannot sell Shengshou 5x5

Speedsolving Shop: Paypal (yay!), but they do not sell Shengshou 5x5’s

iCubeMart: Google checkout, and they do not sell one of the products that I want.

I most likely will end up buying from Speedsolving’s shop, and find somewhere else to get a Shengshou 5x5.

Yay!

Yay!

Some Updates

I’ve been cubing a bit recently, and I’m beginning to get back into it.

I just placed a $15 cubesmith order for most of my puzzle. (6x6, 5x5 etc)

I just got a 12.46 average of 50 on my Zhanchi.

In France, I did go back and buy the helicopter cube.

I’ve forgotten how to solve skewb.
